  • Singita Lebombo Lodge is situated in the Nwanetsi Concession Area in the Kruger National Park. The lodge is located in a remote wilderness with the largest concentration of game you will ever see in Kruger.

    Singita Lebombo rests lightly among the ancient boulders of the Lebombo Mountains, overlooking the African plain where two rivers meet. The glass and timber units of Singita Lebombo Lodge have breathtaking views.

    Malaria Precautions:
    Since malaria is present in the Mpumalanga region where the Singita lodges are situated, it is essential to ensure that anti-malarial precautions be taken throughout the year.

    Child Policy:
    Singita Lebombo is unable to accommodate children under 10 years unless either lodge is block-booked by the same group or family. Extra beds in the rooms cannot be provided.

    Singita Lebombo Lodge’s rooms sit perched like Eagles' nests on the basalt cliff tops. Facing the ancient Lebombo mountain range, the lodge overlooks the Sweni and Nwanetsi rivers far below.

    Singita Lebombo is situated in a private concession area in the Kruger National Park. The area teems with game and here you will see the biggest concentration of game in Kruger Park. The Singita Lebombo is situated on 33 000 acres in the eastern south central part of the Kruger National Park, along the N'wanetsi River.

    Singita Lebombo Lodge's location is breathtaking. It is set among the ancient boulders of the Lebombo Mountains and overlooks the plain where two rivers meet.

    How to get there

    Directions by road:
    Recommended route from Hoedspruit Leave Hoedspruit, Eastgate airport and turn right onto the main road for approximately 6km (3.7 miles) to a T-junction. Turn left onto the R40 for approximately 19km (11.8 miles) to another T-junction. Stay on the R40 by turning left at this T-junction, but only for 2km (1.2 miles) before turning left again onto the R531 (Orpen Gate Road).

    After 42km (26 miles) you will come to the Orpen Gate to the Kruger National Park. Proceed straight into Kruger on the H7 for 41km. At the T-junction turn right onto the H1-3 for 3km (1.8 miles) before turning left onto the H6, clearly marked N'wanetsi. After 19km (11.8 miles) on the H6 (allow 30 - 40 min) the tar ends at a T-junction and turn right for 1km to Singita Lebombo.

    By Air:
    There are daily return flights direct to Singita Lebombo from O.R. Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg). Federal Air provides air transfers to and from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) to Singita Lebombo. Federal Air is currently connecting all flights arriving and departing into KMIA that fall into the operating period for Satara, the airstrip in Kruger National Park that Singita Lebombo uses, as set by the Parks Board.

    There are daily scheduled flights into the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, situated between Nelspruit and White River. (This airport has replaced the Skukuza and Nelspruit Airports).

    Distances by Road:
    Nelspruit to Singita Lebombo: 216km (4 hours) Skukuza to Singita Lebombo: 110km (2-3 hours) Hazyview to Singita Lebombo: 156km (3.5 hours) Johannesburg to Singita Lebombo: 600km (8 hours) Hoedspruit to Singita Lebombo: 155km (2-3 hours).


    Activities:

    There are many things to do Singita Lebombo Lodge. You can take part in game drives and walks or explore the African bush on a mountain bike. Unwind at the Bush Spa or enjoy bush breakfasts and sunset cocktails. Guests can also go on a guided tour to Justitia Village, just outside the boundary of the reserve, where you will gain insight into the life of a local Shangaan community.
