  • Sweni Game Lodge is an intimate and secluded luxury game lodge situated in the Kruger National Park. This Kruger Park lodge is ideal for honeymooners. Singita Sweni Game Lodge is located on the banks of the Sweni River.

    Guests at Sweni Game Lodge can expect to see the Big Five in addition to an abundance of general game and bird life. This Kruger Park lodge's safari guides and trackers were carefully selected for their knowledge, sensitivity to the environment and ability to communicate. These guides will entertain guests with the interpretation of animal behaviour, bird identification and interesting facts about the trees and plants.

    A maximum of 6 guests is placed on each Land Rover, to ensure that all passengers on the game drive vehicles have plenty of space and have seats with uninterrupted views at this luxury game lodge in Kruger National Park.


    Accommodation:

    Accommodation at Singita Sweni Lodge is offered in 6 riverside double rooms. Each suite has an en-suite bathroom and shower, outside shower, mini bar and fridge, room mini safe, air-conditioning, overhead fans, direct dial telephones and game-viewing deck.

    The suites also have bath robes, hairdryers, insect spray, mosquito repellent, and Citronella wipes for your convenience. International adapters and converters are available at reception.


    Location:

    Singita Sweni Game Lodge is situated on the banks od the Sweni River in a private concession. This concession is located in the south east region of the Kruger National Park, South Africa. Guests can access the park either by road or air.

    How to get there:

    Directions from Hoedspruit:
    Guests should leave Hoedspruit Eastgate airport and turn right onto the main road for about 6 km (3.72 miles) until reaching a T-junction. Turn left onto the R40 for and continue for about 19km (11.80 miles) until your each another T-junction. Stay on the R40 by turning left at this T-junction.

    After 2km (1.24 miles) turn left onto the R531 (Orpen Gate Road). Travel for 42km (26.09 miles) you will reach the Orpen Gate into the Kruger National Park, South Africa. Continue straight into the Kruger Park on the H7 and travel for 41km (25.47 miles).

    Note that this area is ideal for game viewing, so travel at a slow speed. At the T-junction, turn right onto the H1-3 and travel for 3km (1.86 miles) before turning left onto the H6 marked N'wanersi. After 19km (11.80 miles) on the H6 the tar road will end at a T-junction. Turn right and continue for 1km (0.62 miles) until you reach Singita Lebombo.

    By air
    One hour 15 minutes from Johannesburg to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport followed by a 30 minute air transfer to Singita lodges.

    Activities:

    Sweni guides and trackers are carefully selected for their knowledge, sensitivity to the environment and ability to communicate on this Kruger National Park safari. Guests can experience the African bush up close during their Kruger Park safari with a bush walk. Aletratively, explore less travelled areas by mountain bike.

    Game drives take place from dawn to breakfast and again from mid-afternoon to dinner time which includes a night drive. During the morning game drive you stop for a cup of tea or coffee and a light snack in the bush and during the evening drive sundowners and snacks are served while you listen to the sounds of the African dusk.

    Lebombo Village:
    The Lebombo Village which is part of the Singita Lodges features an art gallery, gym and health spa, wine boutique as well as an interactive ranger centre, and stocks an exclusive range of fashionable bushwear, jewellery and African artifacts. Basic necessities such as camera film and batteries are available for purchase on your Kruger National Park safari.
