Hamilton's Camp is situated in a private concession in the Kruger National Park, South Africa and is 55km (34.1 miles) from the Orpen Gate. This luxury tented camp is situated near Hoedspruit in the Limpopo Province in the Kruger National Park, South Africa. Should you be travelling from Nelspruit, it's a 2 and a half-hour drive from Kruger Gate.
Directions to the Orpen Gate: From Johannesberg/Gauteng: follow the N4 out to Nelspruit. From there take the R40, north to Hazyview, Bushbuck Ridge and heading on to Klaserie. Just before Klaserie, turn right onto the R351 – which will take you to the Orpen Gate of Kruger National Park, South Africa.
Entering Orpen Gate: (approximate driving time: 2 hours)
Take the H7 towards Satara Drive for approximately 6.7km Turn right onto the S106 (Dirt Road) After 1.6km, turn right onto the S140 towards Talamati After 19.5km, turn right onto the S145 After 13km you will reach a T-junction, turn right onto the S36 6.5km further the roads forks, keep right (follow the Hamiltons signage and proceed through the no entry sign) Carry on along this road for 2km, going through a low water bridge Approximately 400 meters after the low water bridge turn right at the no entry sign Take the first road to your right and you will find Hamiltons Tented Camp
Directions to the Kruger Gate: From Johannesberg/Gauteng: follow the N4 out to Nelspruit. From there take the R40, north to Hazyview. At Hazyview, get on to the R536 which leads directly to the Paul Kruger Gate.
Entering through Kruger Gate: (approximate driving time 2.5 hours)
Take the H1-2 towards Skukuza Pass Skukuza and take the H1-2 towards Satara After approximately 20km turn left onto the S36 (Dirt Road), it is signposted Carry on along the S36 for approximately 39kms, you will pass Lugmag Dam and Nhlanguleni Picnic Spot After 39km on this road you will see a no entry sign, only guests of Hamiltons may enter, proceed through About 200 metres thereafter, turn left at the second no entry sign Take the first road to your right and you will find Hamiltons Tented Camp

Activities:
Guests at Hamilton's Tented Camp can enjoy game drives, bush walks and bird watching. In summer, morning drives depart at 05:30am and evening drives depart at 17:30pm. In winter, morning drives depart at 06:00am and evening drives depart at 16:00pm.
Hamiltons Tented Camp morning game drives last approximately 3 hours. Evening game drives on your safari in Kruger National Park last about 4 hours with a stop en route for sundowner drinks.
Hamiltons Tented Camp offers silver-service dining overlooking the river, where you can enjoy cuisine prepared to your satisfaction. Romantic private dinners and bush picnics can be arranged.
