Bateleur Bushveld Camp is the oldest and smallest bushveld camp in Kruger Park. It has only 7 self-catering guest cottages.

Bateleur Bushveld Camp's many attractions include a game-viewing hide that overlooks a waterhole just outside the camp.
Bateleur Bushveld Camp has a conference room that can accommodate 34 delegates for workshops or team building exercises. Equipment includes projection screen, flip chart, white board, TV, video recorder, overhead projector and slide projector (carousel).
A reed-enclosed boma adjoins the conference room. The boma has barbecue facilities and a bread oven. Paraffin lamps light up the evenings and set a romantic ambience at Bateleur Bushveld Camp.
There are also barbecue facilities at each cottage and visitors can purchase fire wood at the camp.

Accommodation:
Bateleur Camp consists of 7 self catering guest cottages with en suite bathrooms. The bedrooms are either air-conditioned or equipped with a ceiling fan.
Each cottage has its own electricity points and televisions and there is open parking available. All units at Bateleur Camp are serviced daily and supplied with bedding, towels and soap.

Location:
Bateleur Camp is located in the Northern Mopane and Bushwillow Savannah Woodlands of the Kruger National Park. Bateleur Camp's closest entrance gate is at Punda Maria, about 125km (77.6 miles) to the north.
Alternative entrance gates are at Pafuri 162km (100.6 miles) away and Phalaborwa, 190km (118 miles) south. The are regular local flights to the Phalaborwa Kruger Park Gateway Airport.
How to get there from Johannesburg/Pretoria:
By road to Phalaborwa Gate: Take the N1 toll-road to Polokwane (Pietersburg). Forty kilometres (24 miles) before Polokwane turn right onto the R71 and head for Tzaneen. After Tzaneen head towards Phalaborwa and the gate. Allow between 6 to 7 hours for the trip to the gate. Bateleur Bush Camp is 100 kilometres (62 miles) away from the gate. Allow about 4 hours for the drive to the camp.

Activities:
Visitors can make use of Bateleur Camp's game-viewing hide that overlooks a waterhole just outside the camp. Take part in night drives and experience Kruger's nightlife and its nocturnal animals. Experienced and trained field guides take groups of up to 8 people on exciting guided bush walks. Track Rhino, Elephant and Lion on foot and learn fascinating facts about the African bush.
The nearby Nshawu pans is an excellent area to see game such as Blue Wildebeest, Burchell's Zebra, Buffalo and the Rarer Tsessebe. The 'Big Five' are spotted here frequently along with fantastic birdlife.
Two dams, Silvervis and Rooibosrand are within close range of Bateleur Camp and are restricted to the residents of the camp. Silvervis boasts a large variety of birdlife and as well as wildlife such as Hippopotamus, Crocodiles, Bushbuck and Nyala.
