Talamati is a private camp offering small but luxurious accommodation. From the comfort of your cottage you can watch the wildlife below. To get closer sightings, visitors can go on a morning and/or night game drive. Bush walks are also offered with armed and experienced guides.
Please note that entrance gates are closed at night, and late arrivals will not be issued permits. Please make sure to plan your journey well in order to arrive on time.
Please Note:
If you must walk around at night please do not so so without a torch.

Accommodation:
Guest Cottages:
There are 11 two bedroom cottages equipped with ceiling fans. One of the bedrooms has 3 single beds, and the other, has 2 single beds. One of the bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom. The other bathroom has a separate toilet and shower. There is a kitchen with necessary facilities.
At this Kruger Park lodging, guests may enjoy their meals on the veranda or the boma. The one cottage does have more luxurious fittings, with enhanced linen and decor and 2 separate bedrooms both en-suite, one with a double bed, the other with 2 singles.
Cottages:
The 4 one bed roomed cottages have a living room with 2 bench beds and a bathroom. The bedroom has 2 single beds and a ceiling fan. There are braai (barbecue) facilities and a boma.

Location:
Talamati Camp is located in a stunning valley complemented by breathtaking views. The grass attracts various grazing herds which of course then attracts the predators visitors want to see so much.
The nearest gate to the camp is at Orpen Gate, which is 30km (18.6 miles) north. Satara is the nearest rest camp, only 52km (32 miles) away. Eastgate Airport is 68km (42 miles) from Orpen gate and it is gets daily SA Express flights from Johannesburg and Cape Town.
How to get there:
From Johannesburg/Pretoria:
Head toward Nelspruit on the N4, take the R540 Belfast turn off. At Lydenburg you can turn left onto the R36 heading north. About 30km before Hoedspruit turn right onto the R531 and head towards the gate. Please note that this trip to the gate will take 4 to 5 hours. Talamati is 30km away from the gate. Allow about one and a half hours for the drive to the camp.

Activities:
Wildlife:
During your stay at Talamati you can enjoy from Rhino, Elephant and Lion tracking on foot with experienced guides. You can see predators and their prey during game drives or by sitting in the animal hide. Animal activity at the water hole is a 24 hour experience, so make sure not to miss out on this. Exciting night game drives are also available.
Birdlife:
Birdlife in the area includes redbilled Buffalo Weaver, Burchell's starling, mourning Dove, Giant Eagle, and various species of owls just to mention a few. There is a lovely bird hide for guests to use, to see day or nocturnal birds.
