This Kruger Park camp has 34 individual camp sites, 2 well kept ablution facilities and 2 camp kitchens. Tsendze Rustic Campsite provides only the basic services such as warm water from gas geysers. The lighting in the kitchens and ablutions is provided by a solar battery system.
The campsite at this Kruger Park Camp are placed in two circles around the ablution and kitchen facilities. Tsendze Rustic Campsite offers you an authentic rustic camping experience as no electricity is supplied. Generators are not allowed, ensuring that noise levels are kept to a minimum.
This Kruger Park camp is situated only 7 kilometres ( 4.3 miles) south of Mopani Restcamp and about 20 kilometres (12.4 miles) north of the Giriyondo/Makhadzi turn off on the H1-6 main road between Letaba and Mopani rest camps.

Accommodation
The 34 camp sites at this Kruger Park accommodation are surrounded by a variety of shady trees. Each individual campsite is equipped with a refuse bin for your convenience. The braai (barbecue) facilities with taps are shared among every 3 campsites at this Kruger Park accommodation.
The 2 ablution blocks feature 2 unique 'open-to-the-skies'showers and there are facilities for wheelchair access.
If you wish to camp at Tsendze Rustic Campsite you are required to check in at the Mopani Rest Camp Reception, only 7 kilometres (4.3 miles) away. Here a site will be allocated to you and you will be able to select the site of your choice if available.

Location
Tsendze Rustic Camping site is situated in world famous Kruger Park, South Africa. The campsite is located about 7km south of Mopani Rest Camp along the H1-6 road to Letaba Rest Camp.
It is situated is 20km north of Giriyondo Border Post road turnoff into the Letaba-Mopani main road (H1-6). There is a picnic site behind Tsendze Rustic Camping site in Kruger Park, South Africa. Tsendze Rustic Campsite falls in the Mooiplaas Ranger Section area, which is known for its large buffalo herds and many Elephant bulls.
The many trees at Tsendze Rustic Campsite offers excellent birding opportunities right in camp.

Activities
Tsendze Rustic Camping site offers a rustic camping experience for campers on their safari in Kruger Park. Activities include exploring the falls within the Mooiplaas Ranger Section which is known for its large Buffalo herds and many Elephant bulls. There are two main water courses that run through the Tsendze area, namely the Tsendze River and Nshawu Creek.
The Nshawu Creek is a popular refuge for Buffalo herds and Elephant bulls during the heat of the day. The abundant birdlife in the many trees in and around the Tsendze campsite makes for excellent birdwatching on safari in Kruger Park.

African Elephant
|
Elephants need to consume about 4-6% of their bodyweight every day and must therefore eat for about 16 hours a day. Their digestion is very poor so they eat everything including bark, leaves, grass and shrubs.

African Buffalo
|
Buffalo may look like rather large cows, but they are one of the most fearsome animals of Africa - especially if they are wounded. An adult male weighs in the region of 600 kilos (1,320 pounds), and if attacked he will turn the tables and pursuit.
