Sirheni Camp is located in the far north of the park. Sirheni offers Kruger Park accommodation midst the scenery of the Sirheni Dam, hundreds or of indigenous trees and mountains.

Sirheni Camp is part of an initiative of creating smaller and more luxurious camps in more remote areas of the park to give that sense of exclusivity. These smaller camps are placed so that access to the larger camps is available.
This camp has 2 wonderful hides which are perfect for bird watching and to watch game as they come to river for a drink of water. If you are lucky you might just see the elusive Leopard as it comes down to river.

If you must walk around at night please do not do so without a torch.

Guest Cottages:
Guest cottages feature 2 bedrooms with ceiling fans, of which one is en-suite. The one has 3 single beds, and the other room has 2 single beds. There is a kitchen which is fully equipped for cooking purposes. The dining room opens out beautifully onto a veranda.
Cottages:
There are 5 one bedroom cottages with 2 single beds, a ceiling fan, kitchen and bathroom. For extra accommodation there are 2 sleeper couches. The kitchen at this Kruger Park accommodation is fully equipped for cooking purposes. There is only solar electricity and no plug points. To recharge batteries, there is 240-volt power in the main offices.

Location:
Sirheni Camp is a private camp located in the north of the Park. Please note that the entrance gates and restcamp gates are closed at night, so visitors must arrive on time. There are scheduled domestic flights to and from the airport, just 4 kilometres (2.4miles) from Phalaborwa Gate.
How to get there:
From Johannesburg/Pretoria:
Punda Maria Gate:
Take the N1 to Polokwane (Pietersburg), at Makhado (Louis Trichard) take the R524 and follow this route for +-140 kilometres (87 miles) which will take you to the gate. Allow between 5 to 6 hours for the trip to the gate. Sirheni Bush Camp is 54 kilometres (34 miles) away from the gate in Kruger Park, South Africa. You will need another 2 hours to get to the camp.

Activities:
Sirheni Camp offers wonderful views, educational safaris, Rhino, Elephant and Lion tracking, and morning/evening game drives. These activities are conducted by experienced and well trained guides so that you may get the most out of your experience.
Wildlife:
The abundance of antelope around the camp is a highlight, as guests have the chance to see rare species like Roan and Sable Antelope, Tsessebe, Lichtenstein's Hartebeest and Reedbuck.
Of the Big Five, Elephant and Buffalo are common. While not prominent Lion, Leopard and Spotted Hyena have been seen. Cheetah, Wild Dog, African Wild Cat and several others are usually spotted at the various viewing spots.
Birdlife:
Sirheni Camp thrives with birdlife. There are birds such as parrots, orioles, Weavers, Pygmy goose and a variety of water birds. These birds can be seen during safari activities, from the bird hide or the viewing deck.
